Do/will balls continue to mate after they are gravid?? Reason why I am asking is cause our female was mated with our male... they locked up almost imediately after intoducing the female to the male. They did so for the first day, night and second day but havent since then (or atleast we havent noticed). They have been together for a week and we separated them today.

she may not be gravid at the moment, they sometimes breed for days, weeks, months before they breed successfully. if its only been a week or so I wouldn't seperate them yet. sometimes they also look like they are mating but the male is only trying and maybe the female isn't receptive at the moment. go to ralph davis' site and read his breeding stuff, and there are many other usefull web sites with just as good info.
