My Burm.

diseasedstran Oct 02, 2005 06:09 PM

This is my male burmese python. He was a rescue from a terrible man who know nothing about reptiles about 4 years ago. He was kept in a shed with no heat except for a light bulb on the floor that he had burned himself on many times. He had a few spots that were bare without scales when I got him. He was verry under fed, you could see all his bones and was about 6 feet long and 11 pounds. He could hardly move and was force fed for about 8 months.

He's about 5 years old now. Around 13 feet long. About 70lbs.
He's fat and happy and full of energy. Loves to be out roaming the house and sits in your lap to be rubed and will stay there all day if you let him. A wonderfull part of our family.

WOW! That's a bright light on him!! I don't think he needs one that bright do you?
Anyhow, he looks great! I'm glad you saved him from such a loser that was treating him so bad! Good job!

Thanks everyone. The light just looks bright because I got the bulb right in the view of the camera. My camera does not like light. It's just a 40w bulb. Enough to keep the cage around 80.
