Give a more detailed description so someone can help.

What is the set up of his enclosure?
How old is he?
What is his Diet?
What are you lighting the enclosure with?
What temperature is the basking area and the ambiant Temperature?

Privide photos and I'm sure you will be helped with much information.

It also depends upon the age of your veiled. When upon reaching sub-adulthood (4-6 months) they can retain a brownish hue when developing their adult colors. Mine is in the process of getting his adult coloration, and he is in the brown stage. Can also depend on the age, blood-line, there are many variables...especially if he is unhealthy.

Here is my veiled, showing a slightly brownish coloration...
