I was breeding some "normal" F1 multi-hets which are now proven hets for Lavender, Motley, Anery, and 1.1 of the trio are for Amel. I produced the hets myself, so I know what went into them, for at least one generation.
Neither of the originating stock have ever produced hypos to my knowledge, and each have produced many normals, from different mates, so...
These F1 Quad hets produced these "blue-eyed ghost" looking things this year, and I don't know what they are. I got one from 4x het male "Samwise" to my 4x het "Marigold" and one from the same male, "Sam," to a 3x het (didn't prove out as het amel...) named "Rosie"

However, one of my customers swears some of the F1 offspring she purchased are hypos, but none of them looked like hypos out of the egg. (Except these F2 blue-eyed freaks)
That's why they're keepers. I don't know what the heck they are. I have to test breed and prove them out, and test against other snakes, for known genes... maybe they're blue-eyed lavender anerys, but I never heard of blue eyes being present in Lavender. Normally you see blue-eyed ghosts. As far as I know the blue-eyes trait has never been seen in either Hypo(a) or Anery (a) separately, I don't believe it's another affect of one or other of those 2 genes, so is it possible to separate the blue-eyes gene from whatever seems to be linking it together?
I am going to hope that I can isolate the "blue-eyes" and some day produce a nice "okeetee" with pale blue eyes! Now wouldn't that be something?

Depending on what you consider "giving away opals"... I may be interested at the upcoming Hamburg show if you're gonna be there. If you'd like, shoot me an email with some prices.
Thanks,
Will

I hav ebeen around a bit, just not posting too much. Thank you for the welcome! I had a good year in some ways and a terrible in others, it kind of made me introspective and I wasn't so into posting on the forums until the smoke cleared.
Some of those are anery lavenders, and some were lavenders, and I have some possible snopals and possible Opal motleys and/or snopal motleys.
