I have heard that mealworms can "burrow" through the gecko's stomach if the gecko has not "chewed" it enough...Is this correct? I am confused, because most books and websites with caresheets say to have a bowl/dish of worms readily available at all times for the gecko, however, I have heard that the heads should be cut off before given as a meal. Any takers to this head chopping? It seems that if the mealies were harmful, people would warn, correct? So all I really need to know is... for my gecko who is only 6 inches, do I need to be cutting off the heads of the mealworms?

OLD MYTH

Calm down, I found what I needed and if you would have read the next post from me I apologized. I don't like people like you who give attitude to others. You had to learn it somewhere too...people on here are just trying to educate themselves, why get pissed at that? I have read posts where people get animals and then don't know anything about them...I know the basics and setup and have been familiarizing myself with breeding, and I came across something I never heard about so I posted to see what people thought. I decided to search for it, found the answer, re-posted and apologized. There was no need for that all capital reply, it came off rude, and if I am being rude back, well I guess that's how it is then, becasue all I was trying to do was to educate myself in an area that was unfamilar...I thought that is why this forum is here.

na i wasnt tryin to be rude my keyboard was just in caps bc i asked the same question when i first got mine bc i heard that too but a couple people told me it was a myth didnt try to be rude at all
