A 10-year-old girl has been mauled by a crocodile while swimming off the Kimberley Coast in Western Australia.
The full extent of her injuries are not yet known.
WA police said the girl was swimming off a charter vessel at Doubtful Bay about 1pm (WST) on Monday when the crocodile attacked.
She reportedly suffered lacerations to her arm but there is no word yet on their severity.
The girl was airlifted to a pastoral station at Mount Hart, about 240km north east of Derby, and police said a doctor was already flying there to assess her injuries.

A 10-year-old girl has been injured in a crocodile attack in Western Australia's north.
The girl was swimming off a charter boat at Doubtful Bay, north-east of Derby, when she was attacked by the reptile.
Police media's Ros Weatherall says she suffered lacerations to her arms and is being airlifted from the remote area, along with her parents.
"We believe the victim is being flown by helicopter to nearby Mount Hart station, a pastoral station off the Gibb River Road this afternoon where a doctor from Fitzroy Crossing will assess her," he said.
Her injuries at this stage are not believed to be life-threatening.
It is likely she will then be transferred to Derby District Hospital.
