Getting a lizard

system_of_a_down Oct 03, 2005 05:30 PM

I finally convinced my parents to instead of getting another ferret, to get a lizard(I'd prefer a snake but my grandma's very religious and thinks snakes are the sign of the devil). I wanted to get either an Australian water dragon or a bearded Dragon. This won't be my first lizard as i've had anoles in the past and kept it healthy, but i want a bigger lizard because I don't feel comfortable handling a lizard as small as a anole or gecko incase it were to escape from me during handling. In any case I was wondering what the temperaments of a well handled well cared for adult australian water dragon. As well me and my dad would be making an enclosure that measures 4'lx3'tx2'd from plexi. If i were to do that would it be best to have a screen top or a glass. Thanks for any info you can give.

A screen top is good to get air circulation.
