Just keeps peeking out...

Siminix Oct 03, 2005 09:37 PM

If my gecko pokes her head out of the cage constantly, is it because she's looking for food or is she just checking stuff out. I fed her 2 mealworms and 3 or 4 crickets earlier today, so I'm not quite sure if she's still hungry. So, is this a tell-tale sign to show that she needs food? Also, i see many signatures that display what I've figured out to be what kind of herps each of you own... like so:

1.0.0 Leopard Gecko "Sobe"

I assume the # on the left means how many you have... what do the middle and right numbers mean? I can only guess that they mean perhaps an animal that you have owned and then lost... plus, where the heck do I click to find the place to automatically add a sig? I figure I'd be here more often than usual... might as well not be a "noobie".

Thx to all who reply.

Sobe peeking out:

And one more thing... anyone know what subspecies she is? I'm slowly learning them (Blazing blizzard, Tang, etc.) I think she's Spotted Jungle, or something along those lines. No clue of who mama geck and papa geck are.

She is a pretty girl!

The 2.9.5 Leos on mine means 2 males, 9 females, and 5 sex not determined yet. Your's would be 0.1 for the one female that you have.

Usually, when they are hungry, they are acutely interested in any kind of movement. They focus in real fast on any movement. As your leo get used to things, she will settle down into a kind of predictable feeding pattern.

To be able to tell if it is a jungle you'd have to look at the tail. A jungle is simply a leo that has all broken bands all down her tail. From what i can see of the tail it looks like your leo is a normal.
