Infecting others with. . .

rosemilk Oct 04, 2005 11:32 AM

The best thing about being "into snakes" is infecting others with the love. There are two little neighbor boys (Diego is 6 & Alex is 8) who come to see my collection and they are in love with snakes. During their first opportunity to view, touch, and hold my "friends," Diego blurted out, "I love snakes." This November we (the children and their parents who do not discourage their love at all) plan to attend a reptile expo at the Gwinnett Civic Center in Duluth, GA. Every time I see these children, they ask me, "When are we going, tomorrow?" How I long for the day when I can say, "Yes, tomorrow we're going!"

The best thing about little kids, is when the snakes get big enough..........!!!

Excellent. Keep on infecting.

Much easier to infect the young than try and convince the old that their fears are rediculous.

My own ambassador to snake fearing folk, is my yearling Indigo, Lenore.

She’s certainly been fun around people who already like snakes, but, more importantly, she’s helped three people who were terrified of snakes (and either have never touched one, or swore to never touch one again), to cross over and handle her.

i agree, my mom has a daycare and when ever they see me they ask where my snakes are and i always bring down my cornsnake to show them, they love my snakes. i also do the same with my young cousins to make sure there never afraid of snakes.

To kids of your own or belonging to others who will not run screaming for their lives, kids in tow, when you do share them.
Great to hear you are spreading the "gospel" and do keep up the good work!
