How does everyone snake behaving?

Knot Jul 20, 2003 12:11 PM

When I watch it and took it out of the cage yesterday, my snake would readily flicked it's tounge. When he was curled up on my hand, he was readily flicking his/her tounge and it touched my finger. It was so cool!!! I heard this mean they're smelling things. Is this a good sign of a very healthy snake if he/she is readily flicking the tounge in and out of the cage. I would certainly think that it's very healthy, don't you think? Snake rules!!! And so are tarantulas and frogs, hehe!!!

Sounds pretty healthy to me since that it what mine usually does and mine is healthy. Obviously I can't know for sure since it's not in front of me but it sounds like everything is OK since a lot of tongue flicking is always a good sign. And yes, snakes do rule! This is the best pet I've ever had! I also had some tarantulas in the past but had to sell them due to some bad skin reactions I was getting when I'd get anywhere near them! Snakes don't have hair so this is the hobby for me!

Don't you know anything? Those are kissies! The snake constantly crawls around looking for someone to kiss. If you're lucky one might kiss your eyelids.
