>>I'm making a 32" X 21" X 18" (height) 3/4" plywood terrarium for an albino L.t.n.
What does L.t.n stand for? Seems a bit odd to write out the word albino, when that has no bearing on what type of sealant is needed, and not write out the species name, which does have a lot to do with selecting a sealant.
>>What's the best clear transparent coating to apply to the terrarium once it is stained, and can the "Rock Walls" be protected and fortified with the same covering as the wood. Any suggestions would be most appreciated.
The best depends on many issues.
1) What species the cage is for.
2) Will the entire plywood interior be covered with the faux-rock walls or will the species in question also come in contact with the plywood interior?
3) Are you looking for a sealant that can be applied once and forgotten about, or would you prefer to save a bit of money up front and perhaps reapply the sealant every year or two?
4) Not really a question, but you might call big apple and see if they have a recommendation. It is really hard to say what the rock wall is colored with and what clear coats will work with it.
