Mirrors as backgrounds

Anybody ever do this? I seems as though this would give an appearance of depth, as well as give the keeper the ability to see their frogs when they are behind obstructions. The only problem that I could foresee is that frogs might become threatened by their reflections, but I would think that this might even promote breeding behavior. Any thoughts?

That's an interesting idea. I wonder if they would try to leap into it like birds bashing into reflecting windows. It might be worth a trial to put a smaller mirror inside to see how they react to this first. In a similar vein, I've seen one terrarium (plants only) with a very shallow small pool that had a mirror on the bottom to great effect.

Sounds like a cleaning nightmare !

How will cleaning a mirror be any harder than cleaning glass?
