shedding

i have a redtail and it sheds in one piece but my ball sheds in little clumps and normally i need to help him finish shedding i have water in the cage and am using reptile bark. any help would be appriciated

Best guess is that your humidity is too low - try spraying the cage right be for he sheds - bump your himidty up to 75% - he should shed better unless there are other underlying problems.

i do spray the cage down before and when he starts shedding. isn't 75 % humidity to high for balls? thanks for the input

Normally mine are kept at around 60-65% just before shed (when their eyes have gone from blue to clear) I bump the humidity to about 75-80% just for the day or two before they actually do shed. And they do wonderfully.
