IMPORTANT ? FROM A BEGGINER!!!!!!!!!

i have had 4 years experience with beardies and are interested in a uromaystx. here are my queations,

1) whats a common, easy to keep species

2) can i purchase an adult from anyone thats cptive bred, and if its wild caught, how easy would it be in general to treat it?

3) is this species out of my league?

ANY AND ALL HELP WOULD BE EXTREMELY APPRECIATED!!!!!!!

Hello,
I've had both beardies and uros. I was like you... I had beardies and then got into uros about 2 years later.
Uros require more greens than beardies do but will occasionally take crickets and mealworms. I believe they also need higher basking temps.
A good beginner uro would be a mali. I would always suggest a captive bred one because of all the potential problems with wc.
I keep egyptians and they are the biggest uros and need a lot more cage space.
As far as temperment goes, my uros were never really 'lapdogs' like my beardies were. They are more explorers than anything. I think they have more personality than beardies though.
Overall, I think you would be fine with a uro. Just do your research and when you are ready to purchase one, go for a cb and ask questions on this forum.... you'll find a lot of friendly people on here that are willing to help you. Here's a pic of Mars and Dog...
