? Who Makes The Best Commercial GTP Cage?

md42007 Oct 04, 2005 10:57 PM

So I asked the Exo-Terra cage question and did my research to find out they were junk! As a newbie in GTPs' who is making the best commercial cage? Any input would be great!

You'll get a million answers on this one, but I bought a vision 222, and I really like it so far. Roomy, waterproof, and not too heavy.

Meg is right, you will get tons of answers. My opinion is though that boaphile makes the best cage for a gtp. This factors in cost, cage construction, functionality, etc. For just about all adults, the 24x18x18 cage will work just fine. You might get some huge biaks that will need something a tad bit bigger, or if you would prefer more room for your snakes, go with the 36x18x18 cage. You dont need a tall cage as they will almost always use the highest perch in the cage.

Now if cost is no concern, go with habitat systems cages. But they are double the cost of just about anything else. Thats why I still think the boaphile is the best all around, for price, etc.

i like the vision cages too,but i also like the acrylic md cages because they are clear on all sides including the hinges.

I didn't want my snake to feel that out in the open. I also wanted something larger and they only made 24 X 24 X 24 as the largest. They look really nice for display at the shows though. Cathy used something like it at the Anaheim show.

I still love my BARRS cages. Dougs cool and his cages are great. Compare his prices to others and he does custom work and yes you can have him make the cages without the vented tops if you want to use heat panels like we do.
