Shed problems

I had a question concerning my red ackie. The tail where the spines are, after shedding my ackie had a little blood on some spines. Is this normal? I soak my ackie in warm water once a week and when i see that he is going to shed.

Does anyone know? It has me a bit worried...I know that sometimes snakes will bleed a little while shedding but I'm wondering about my monitor.
