I just received a beautiful pastel male 1300 grams and noticed that he has a growth around his cloaca. He is a proven breeder, and I bought this male from a very well known breeder who will remain nameless. I would like to know if any of you have seen this type of thing before and if so what is it? Will it affect his breeding capibilites? Any info would be greatly appreciated. Sorry for the horrible pictures, I will try to get a couple of better ones and repost. Thanks........

It looks like it may be an abcess. Get it to the vet ASAP because it most likely will effect breeding.

I have seen this twice, I personal just cut a small slit on the abcess and removed it myself. It healed fine within one shed. I think this abcess TYPE area is caused from the strain on that spot when they breed. If that make any sense. Hope that helps. Thanks David

Have you tried to contact "well known breeder"? Any good well known breeder would gladly replace/repair the animal for you with out a fuss if you just got it.
