I need some help PLEASE

ZippoBSquared Jul 20, 2003 01:33 PM

Hi, I just bought two Eastern Collared Lizards last night. THey are in good health and seem active. They both have ate a couple of crickets today. The man at the pet store said they were a breeding pair, but have never had eggs. Both are still fairly young. ONe is for sure a male, he is blue with a yellow neck and a brown head. The other is smaller and brown, although I can see a very pale blue. She also gets a little green and yellow by her front legs. She has also puffed up at the male to claim a basking spot. Could she really be a male?

Oh, also, is vermiculite ok for the substrate?

Thanks very much,
ZippoBSquared

if ya can of there vent areas we can tell you. And I would not use vermic. Washed play sand from home depot is fine> About 3.80 - 4.00 for a 50 lb. bag last quite a while ! Eve
