Thats a high Yellow you have there - A normal (wild type) has many more spots and not as bright yellow pigment as yours - here's a pic of my normal Trinity - shes about 2 lay eggs in a few days - hence the reason she looks mega over weight

And normals do rock

BlueLeo Oct 06, 2005 06:35 PM

Normals come in different shades of yellows, some darker than others. Yours is just simply dark.

Here's is one of my girls she is a normal leo she is very yellow but not hi-yellow(look at back legs very spotty)she is very different to djsibert68.

eve_scotland Oct 08, 2005 12:13 PM

Yep your second one is a normal but i'm 100% positive your first is a high yellow - it has WAY 2 much yellow pigment and rarity of sports on the belly to be a normal (wild type) wild leopard geckos in the wild do not look thike your it is selective breeding - you have a high yellow - looks like my high yellow - Oracle

Hay eve you've got your wires crossed the picture of the normal is mine i was showing djseibert68 a picture of a normal to show him/her that his/her has is a hi-yellow .

Gazz Oct 06, 2005 06:44 PM

Hi yellows have reduced spots on the back legs like yours. Some time they also can have no spots. This link should help you out pic(1) normal leo's pic(2) a hi-yellow and i think looks pretty much just like yours ball's in your court now .
