how many other people around here get emails from people asking if you're selling any of your leaftails? i get some here and there, usually asking for satanics, and every now and then get some questions from someone about leaftails instead. but within the past 3 days, ive gotten 2 emails from the same guy asking for satanics. whats the deal?

I can't say, except that they are very popular. I can't keep up with the demand right now...

Other species sell reasonably well, although the expensive ones are sporadic.

Probably because Phants are one of the most unique and beautiful geckos out there. I'd absolutely love to have a female to put with my male but alas, between the cost and the non-availibility of phants right now it's not feasible.

i think they all are coon in many ways but phant sales could be higher then other species becuase of their nick name, or maybe it's their size. sikorae need such a large enclosure, more so then phants and many of my clients would rather have ten small herps instead of one or two larger herps. ebens are hard to find in the day so it might a mix of reasons. some one should run a poll someday.

I got an e-mail from someone but they didn't come through KS that I can tell. Anyway, I also got a phone call from someone. THey talked to my wife who repeatedly explained that it was my business and she didn't know much about it. The person thought they would like a satanic to go along with their henk that they take to the movies with them (no I wish I were kidding). I doubt I'll even get back to the person, but I don't have any FS right now anyhow.

well, im glad to know im not the only person who is getting contacted. in all honesty, i expect you, neil, to get the most people contacting him about it seeing as you're the big man everyone knows of, plus ive heard nothing but good things about you. on the other hand, it blows my mind to think that someone casually takes their henkeli out with them. and a satanic to share the tank? yea, well no comment there.

so this brings me on to the next thing, and that's why do satanics seem to be so much higher in demand than most other leaftails? i mean i kinda understand guentheri have demand cuz they arent common here at all, yet they have a high price. ebenaui are so similar in appearance to satanics, generally with exception of the tail. is it those notches in the tails? the colors? the patterns? personally, im quite fond of the reds, but theres really so many colors and patterns out there that i love its hard to pick a favorite. thenagain, i love many of the colors and patterns, and overall how cryptic all of the leaftails are.

well, after all that, ill just say that i hope that the same opportunists from last season dont come in again trying to sell these geckos for $200 a pop. hopefully they learned a lesson from the last time they tried to sell at high prices and had no one bite.
