Photos, opinions anyone?

reiding@nettally Oct 06, 2005 11:34 AM

I recently got this 2005 female and, depending on how the light is, her underside is a buttery yellow color with some yellow stripes on the scales and she also has a faded spot on the head that you can see in one of the photos. Her back looks prettty normal.
Opinions anyone?
Thanks,

Rob Reiding.

Don't take this the wrong way. Please. Have you seen a YellowBelly in person? The belly patterning is a dead giveaway, there is no other BP that displays that type of patterning. Someone please correct me if im wrong.
But once you have seen one in person, all the BS about them looking normal FLYS OUT THE WINDOW! They are trully a morph within itself, the bonus is a white snake. This is a type of snake that NEEDS to be seen in person. They are just awesome to look at. It would be interesting to know how many unknown YB's there are out there as someones pet.
I can't wait to get one! Maybe in 3 years!

I'm pretty sure she is not a yellow belly but I was wondering if she could be a thunder ball or vanilla?
This is a photo of her top pattern.

I saw the Vanilla balls in person at the Daytona Breeder show and they look Awesome almost like a super pastel to me. As for the fire ball I would also doubt that. Yours just is Not that light, But anything is possible I guess, I just wouldn't get my hopes up too much. Keep it breed it and see what happens. I usually keep all of the weird balls I find or get in. Good luck. Thanks David

Hi David;

Thanks for the input. Were those vanillas you saw vanillas or the super vanillas?
I'm more than willing to think she is a "nice normal", but I'm just trying to figure out what the yellow color on her underside means.
These two fotos were taken right after she shed. I have never really seen an underside that is so yellow on an otherwise pretty normal looking Ball Python.

You should breed that to a pastel.

Hi Eric;

That is a good idea. I do have a male NERD Lemon Pastel and he and this female might make some nice babies.

on its head, doesnt that make it a yellow belly!

Ive got a couple like that too. Im assuming they are just nice normals.

reiding@nettally Oct 06, 2005 12:51 PM

To me she doesn't really look like a Yellow Belly, but she does have a faded spot on her head. What I find different with her is the yellow color on her underside and the orange on her sides.

She's a normal.
A VERY nice looking normal.

Here is one of mine with same coloring on the sides.

reiding@nettally Oct 06, 2005 04:43 PM

That is a very good looking one you have yourself too.

mine look something like that.looks like reduced.

reiding@nettally Oct 06, 2005 11:18 PM

Yours looks very similar, but the belly pattern seems to be a little different. Does yours have any faded spot or faded pattern on its head?

head shot.look at the tiger neck.not much of a spot.

reiding@nettally Oct 07, 2005 10:22 PM

Yours are looking similar as far as the color on the sides goes. The top patterns and the pattern on the undersides seem to be slightly different. What would you call yours?
