hey urojade nice lizards.the pet shop here still has theirs. If you succeed in breeding these lizards tell me.as far as lizards go do you think their hardy?just wondering.thanks for the pic
Nick
i think their very hardy little lizards i've found very little information on them but they seem to be healthy and happy they'll eat crickets dead or alive they standup to drink the water off the walls when i mist them. and even though eveything i found suggested lower temps mine love basking at 95 degrees, they also settle in really fast and have ahardy appitite ive even seen them stealing crickets from each other, they only problaem i've run into is since they like the hot basking spot its hard to keep the cage wet so im gonna have to get a mister, but i found one shaped like a volcano that i decided to get
that sounds cool.Ive seen those at reptile shows their cool looking misters.their appetites sound like my month old tropical night lizards.they still crickets and eat dead ones all the time.and they love humidity.glad to hear their doing alright and hope you succeed in breeding them as most if not all in the pet trade are wild caught.

did i mention their the most fun lizard i have to just watch as they run around the cage?
i saw african blue tailed skinks on a website the other day they look alot like my blue tailed tree lizards but with out the spikes on the tails and their thicker bodied
yeah Ive seen those in fact I almost bought a blue tailed tree lizard cause of the info I read on that.but I looked on the net and found out they were 2 different lizards.also do you breed uros or do you just keep them and what kind do you have?just wondering
Nick
i only have a mali for now, i was going to get a indian at one time and a trio of malis but things came up and i couldnt get the indian and someone got the trio before me, but now im looking at a beautifiul male saharan that love to have if i ge him i plan on breeding him so i'll need to buy a female or to, im building a nice big cage 6 feet long for him
thats cool.If you breed the blue tails what will you do with them.are you going to keep the babys so they can eventually breed or are you going to sell them.
Nick
it depends on how many babys i have i would live to raise a few and see if its possible to tame them even a little and i probably pick out any that i want to keep for breeding for my tameing project otherwise i guess i'll sell them, or maybe make a colony in a big cage that would be nice,
yeah is there set up in a coliny they would be very interesting and if the conditions are good enough maybe theyll breed year round if your lucky.
