I see I have the same amount of hair as you do now. I blade it every other day.

Are you still wanting an Albino High White female? Because I am getting ready to sell a bunch and all the Albino High Whites are included. If you still want one, let me know and I will have Scott take it to the Alb. show.

Why don't you show us a pic of the elk that's on your wall?

Let me know.

Things I'm into: besides snakes

*Living in the good 'ole U.S. of A. My dad was in the U.S. Army and I was in the U.S. Army and lived 9 years in Europe and been to lots of countries. So I DO APPRECIATE living in America. And thanks to the U.S. Army I ended up in Arizona and I love every minute of it.

*My boys, now 16 and 19.

*My girlfriend

*Country music

*Taxidermy, no longer doing commercial work, but I still do competition pieces.

*Fishing, not as good in Arizona as it was when I was in Kansas, South Carolina and Georgia. So I guess I HAVE TO spend more time herping instead.

*Hunting, although I don't go as often as I used to.

*Messing around with the three web pages that I have designed.
Lonesome Valley Reptiles www.lonesomevalleyreptiles.com
Snakes of Arizona ! ! www.snakesofarizona.com
Arizona Taxidermy Artist's Assoc www.taxidermyataa.com

*Taking pics of my snakes (I think it's an addiction, ya know, like tattoos) Only have 2 of those - and yes they are of snakes.

Hey Kerby,

I just realized how much I miss you my friend. We sure as hell had some good times in PV-Jackass Flats-Lonesome Valley.

Remember that elk hunt we did together when I couldn't get your lazy butt up in the morning LOL.

And all those times out herping for pyros around Prescott. Or all those drives out to Bagdad looking for Rosy boas or whatever.

Little league baseball, beotchy ex-wives, wild women, drives to Phoenix for Herp Club meeting, buying up entire snake collections, you getting bit by a brown recluse, Safeway LOL.

I gotta get back out there or you gotta come out here to NM my friend.

I'll e-mail you about an albino high white.

I may have been slow getting out of the fart sack, BUT I did help you quarter and haul that elk out of the canyon!

vichris Oct 06, 2005 11:22 PM

Yes you did, but I guess I wore your butt out. LOL

I got another cow elk this year with my bow. I'll have to take some decent pics of my mounted elk with the digital camera some time.

I still have my Whitetail II that I bought from Bass Pro Shops back in 1987. And I still have my 870 12 guage that I bought in 1976. I even used it last year with Scott dove hunting.

We even combined a herp trip with the dove hunt. We went herping around Wickenburg and Aguila most of the night before we crashed at the tank and shot dove in the morning. Scott even saw a nice red Coachwhip while shooting dove. Lots of Gambel Quail there too, but it wasn't quail season yet. That is what I like about quail hunting (especially around Hillside), you see lots of herps!

He who does with the most toys wins!

jlassiter Oct 07, 2005 02:40 PM

And the difference between men and boys are the price of their toys.....LOL

Well I hope thats not what you all got from my post. It really wasn't about the toys.
I do most of my hobbies with my wife and or kids. We all enjoy hunting, skeet shooting, motorcycle riding, star parties, fly fishing etc.... About the only thing I do as an individual is the snakes.

BTW did anyone notice how many snakes where in the picture?

I see two snakes in the pic.....
I, too do everything with my family.....I am lucky to say my wife enjoys this hobby too...I am grateful for that....My two youngest boys can't get enough of "looking at daddy's snakes"....And I cannot get enough of showing them.....
I also bow hunt for white tail, fallow and axis deer here in the hill country of Texas......I think computer fun is everyone's hobby here....LOL
I also enjoy collecting other stuff like die cast muscle cars and watching NASCAR......And I play the guitar from time to time...Still the same songs I learned 10 years ago though....LOL
Glad to see you and your family enjoy things together......I wouldn't have it any other way over here Chris....
Cool,

...Unusual post to be sure...w/ your tendency to invest heavily in your hobbies...lemme give ya a great tip that I wish someone had given me...leave Head 175 gram raquets alone...dont pick it up [w/o tongs] & for godssake...dont start swinging & swatting balls w/ it....theres no turning back!
Ditto for whooshing & twisting low over the landscape in a turbine powered helicopter with the doors off....pointing brittanies over unseen montezuma or scaled quail...hooking Dorado in the Gulf of California @ sunset...margaritas on the beach w/a good woman in the right mood ...climbing peaks above timberline...nurturing children & your favorite plants...spotting a big toad of a desert mule deer nipping at the ironwood leaves far across the valley, & deciding on the right approach & hoping the wind doesnt shift direction...and last, but not least....

I've always enjoyed hiking and walking. I have a couple of kayaks, sea and recreational, and I enjoy paddling the bayous, lakes, and slow rivers around here. I enjoy photography, but I haven't done much with it in the past few years. I enjoy writing when the inspiration strikes me. I used to enjoy shooting, but I just haven't had time to do it in a while. When someone perfects the 36-hour day, I'll certainly get back into shooting. I used to enjoy bicycling, but I haven't found a safe and enjoyable place to ride in this area. I'm about to get my first snake, and I hope that I'll enjoy it as well.
