Housing ball pythons and rats in same room

franksuthers Oct 06, 2005 08:44 PM

I am sure this has been posted somewhere before I just couldn't find it. I am going to pick up a new Vision rack this weekend at the NARBC show in Chicago and decided to move my snakes into my rat room where I can control the temps better. Will this be a problem? I don't have a ton of rats only running 2 tubs atm both with 1.2 and I clean bi-weekly. I just dont want the snakes to go crazy sensing rats all the time.
Thanks

Personally I have rats and Ball Pythons in the same room and that is working out just fine.

I kept both in the same room for almost a year with no problems. Only seperated them after the rat colony got too big.
