Question about ghost boa's color

tigerhou21 Oct 07, 2005 02:03 AM

I am interesting in ghost boa. I hava looked at lots of babies pictures. Some of them have very light color and clean. My question is do them keep their light color? Or do they turn darker after they grow up?
Can someone post some pictures of adult ghost boa?

Thanks.

they do darken like other hypos. I've not seen any adults that look as they did when they were babies. If someone does have one like that, I would love to see pics of it. The adults I've seen are not pretty, by my definition, as an adult; but then, I am a color freak.

All boas will change. The color of the ghost as an adult depends on how good your selection skills are. Here are some pics. of my 4' girl produced by Jim Hopkins. My wife thinks she is the best looking boa in our collection. I love the blue color she gets in her eye, I've only noticed this kind of eye coloration in ghost.

thanks,

I think the ghost eyes are unique. Thank you for posting her.

I do agree that better stock makes for nicer adults. But, I also know that most hypos still look nice good at 4 feet. I would be interested to see what she looks like at 6-7 feet.

I hope someone can post some breeder ghosts...especially if they have retained their color. I'd love to say that I have at least seen an adult ghost with good color.
