Chances of being a Dwarf???....................

ajfreptiles Oct 07, 2005 09:17 AM

This girl is one of my hold backs from a breeding, born in April 2005. The Mom is just as RED as some hypos I have seen. She is a possible het albino, but still has not been proven....next year....on that.

What I find interesting is she is 5.5 feet long at just about 4 years old.

I feed her heavily during breeding preperation (2 to 3 large rats weekly), and feed (1 large every 2 weeks) through gestation as well. She just seems to maintain a small size. The babies also seem smaller when compared to others I have of the same age.

I am glad I held back a pair from this litter, this is the female....she has a bold pattern that just jumps out at you.

I guess time will tell for sure, here is her picture. Thanks Andy Federico

Hey Andy.. I have a female in the same boat. She will be 4 in the March/April area but she is barely measuring in at the 5 1/2' area. She has been this size range (around 5' to 5 1/2') for over a year as well so its not that she only reached this size recently, just that she isn't getting much bigger then where she's at. She's a hypo as well.

Could be that along the way some smaller localities have been mixed in resulting in smaller sizes, then again could just be they are naturally smaller.

I hope you can prove her out to be a dwarf.. Good luck with that.
