It took all week, but one by one the hatchlings slitted their eggs open and now all but one has crawled out. I've cut away the (mostly) empty shells, which were starting to smell bad. This one's egg has been open since Monday or Tuesday, but it looks like it's not quite ready to make an appearance yet. The pinkish blob floating in the yellow goo next to its head appears to be some unabsorbed yolk material; it seems to have shrunk in the past few days. It looks like it's going to have an interesting aberrant pattern; it's been hard being patient for this one to emerge!
