WEEK IN REVIEW ...

toshamc Oct 07, 2005 05:52 PM

1.Well this week kicked of the start of breeding season – show of hands – how many people dropped temps? Not me I’m waiting till November or such time where my girls stop pounding down rats! We had a good turn out of early breeders! Congrats to you all we look forward to seeing some eggs come spring time!

We also had some of this years late bloomers with a few clutches pippin. Can we really say that there is a “breeding season”? Sorry I know there were a couple of you but I couldn’t find all the pictures.

2. 100% Het for whoopazz!!! – nuff said

3. THERE WERE NO DISCUSSIONS ABOUT THE BALL PYTHON MARKET THIS WEEK (well except for the one thread that was placed as a joke – which we will let slide due to the humor factor)! Which in turn brought back all the “is this a ….” posts! Coincidence or did I call it last week!

4. Speaking of slides….. Mudslides – named after the natural occurrence, the drink or is it another Ben and Jerrys flavor? Still awaiting the tequila sunrise ball – I’m thinking it will be a citrus ghost cross?

5. This week was Mojo week with an excellent assortment from Tom Baker - BTW Tom that shirt you gave me sure is getting a lot of wear! - It's become my favorite - I think my husband is jealous!

and Camlon – ya gotta love that stripe

6. Pied markers – can we beat this to death any more? Personal opinion – your normals have just as much of a chance at having “pied markers” as your possible het pieds. Someone do a study and lets put this baby to rest.

7. While we are at it let’s circulate a petition for NERD to turn over their findings on the Homo Spider issue and lets put that to bed also.

8. Seriously people if you are going through life wondering how many half calf double decaf moca fudge lattes you have to forgo in order to afford that new snake – well you may have a problem. If you are wandering around your house thinking of what you could possibly ebay in order to afford that new morph – remember if you sell off your kids toys they are going to want to play with you – and you have a snake room to clean – oh and you may need some therapy but I’m not here to judge.

9. Sweet

10. Clean your BP cage and you’ll get him to poop but I guess you already knew that – why won’t my snake poop, my snake hasn’t pooped in a year – no wait it’s only been 4 weeks, how do I get my snake to poop - um something about green poop but I can’t remember?

11. Michael aka monsterfan lost his BP this week after 20 years – our condolences. I lost my first two at 20 and 25 years it’s a big part of your life.

12. I’m voting Yellowbelly fire mix – LOL – cause it’s smokin

13. They are on feed / off feed / on feed / off feed – sheesh you’d link we were talkin about ball pythons or something!

14. Do we have to rehash the python vs. alligator story? Even my dentist called me to ask me if I saw the story!

15. The timesaving tip thread only got two responses???? What no one felt like sharing or do all BP breeders have all the time in the world?

16. Favorite images of the week:

I’d love to see a recent photo of this one:

Would really love to see this in person (anyone on the West Coast have one? The vanilla not the pastel)

17. Looks like the Lav. Albino Pied Clown won out as favorite triple threat – but I’m sticking by my True ghost pied.

18. Fact of the week from Dr. Scott: BP's, like other pythons, often will lay on their backs to get comfortable...this is not an indication of IBD or anything pathologic, but it's sure alarming the first few times you see it!

19. If you are asking for advise about something hanging out of your snakes butt – best to make sure when you take a picture of it – your camera is focusing on the snakes butt or item aforesaid not your feet.

20. Favorite line of the week: Sweet 2005 Spider Male ~ does not scream nor smoke! does drink.

21. The answer to my Belly Game this week is NORMALS all of the photos are of normal Ball Python Bellies except #8 which is a het pied and # 15 which is Angolan.

This weeks Happy Hour may now commence!!!!!!!

To my knowledge all vanilla/lightnings are in Florida. StickyFeet Exotics (me), Gulf Coast Reptiles, And Cypress Creek. Also that pastel female was a super she is in shed and not looking so super at the moment, but she is a screamer. Shawn

I just want to say thanks to my producer Jimmy the Squeeze, my posse, my manager Rick Deez, my make up artist Big Nose Cate and to everyone I forgot to mention.

Most of all I want to thank my fans. Without you I couldn't enjoy the success and awards you bestowed upon me.

"you know what I'm saying" 34 times per minute like most hip hop artists. Other than that, well done.

Tosha-I'm with you on the true ghost pied.

That is the Circus Ball but I forget how they are made.

With a name like Scrotbelly, it has to be good ;o)

toshamc Oct 08, 2005 12:07 PM

The circus ball came from a het clown male to a run of the mill WC female - the same female produced a Bozo ball the previous year.
