Okay, I have posted a few "issues" with my new baby and you people have been more than helpful so here we go again.
New ig, 20" TOTAL (head to tip of tail, whatever thats called) and he seems to love hanging out in the "hiding spot" I have provided for him. I have a half log thing in there but he loves the interior of the misty volcano. For those who dont know what I am talking about the product is located here:

Is it normal for my baby to hang out in the dark so much? Actually I work EARLY hours, when I call and ask my wife to check on him hes happily under the basking and UV (zoomed reptile bulb) light. When I get home (1 or 2pm) he is hiding, so I think he is still nervous (I have had him almost a month). Anyway you people have been MORE than helpful reading everyones posts so THANK YOU!
Oh in advance, he is eating well and going to the bathroom regularly (once or mostly twice a day), temperature of cage is: bottom area between 78-83 and top (which has the basking area) between 95-100. The humidity in the room is approx 60-70% and I mist him and his cage at least 3 times a day with a bath AT LEAST every other day if not every day. He is VERY active and VERY green so I think those are healthy signs but I have a lot to learn.
Again, thank you all for taking time for a newbie....
