Not much traffic on Bredli at this page. Why?

Sac-snake-man Oct 07, 2005 08:07 PM

I have noticed that I seldom see pictures on Bredli or any discussions on them ether. I don’t know how popular they are in other parts of the country but they have hit central CA and seem to be well greeted as something different.

I would like to see some (available for sale) really RED ones instead of the brown to almost black I have been seeing. I have been told that most are nothing special and the colors are usually washed out. Is that true? Is their enough genetic diversity in the US?

Just curious.
Thanks!

Just my 2 cents on the topic-
I think that they are like any other "carpet" some are better than others. I have seen some VERY nice adults here and there.
There was talk about their colors fading in captivity (I think the barker's book talks about this, but I don't remeber for sure). I don't know if this has been adequately demonstrated or not though.
