I never had a snake before and I am interesting in buying a ball python. However, I don't want to buy it at the pet store due to higher risk of parasites and problems eating. So my question is.. does anyone know of anyone who breeds and sells ball pythons in the new york area? or any suggestions? Thanks.

Might check to see if there is a herp society in your area or any reptile shows.

i live in Bronx, New York. There arent really mnay shows around here I researched and came across a reptile show that is november not to far from my house... do you think its a good idea to buy one from the classifieds on the site?

Classifieds are fine. I have bought a few snakes there. I would go to the Ball Python forum to find a reputible breeder. Good luck and post pics when you get one. Derek
