tank size

is a 24L by 18 by 18 tank big enough for a collared lizard?

Hi, I'm not quite sure what size that is... but we usually say atleast a 20 gallon LONG for one collared or a pair, but BIGGER is always so much better.

If you have a young/ smaller collared yours will work, until you get something LONGER.

These lizards are very active and use the space happily by running, jumping, hanging , just little acrobats. It's actually very COOL watching them when they have some space to romp in.

Your measurements sound much shorter, but a bit wider and taller, than a 20 long.
