I say .....stick to Tennis , for the forums sake . Maybe the "small guys " out there ONLY have pastels and normals to breed.I'm curious at what point the Ball Python community , or kingsnake had a minimum morph count in particular collections for breeders that post ? Please don't make the "small guys" feel unwelcome . Just my .02 , Thanks for looking

lol, that was a good one Rich!
I don't have a pastel but I thought it in poor taste for someone (even a internationally known tennis star, lol) to make such a comment.
Now that I think about it, why doesn't everyone take the season off so that I can be the only one breeding? Next spring I'll be selling normal females for $50,000 each. You can put deposits down now. Come on, please???

With a name like Scrotbelly, it has to be good ;o)
breeds anything at all ever again so the value won't drop? If you eliminate all the people breeding pastels x normals you'd most likely eliminate 75% of the normal cb balls for the year.
Note:That number could be off, considerably much, it was just a random figure thrown in for example.

I dont have any pastels yet, but I say breed away.... so I can afford them in a year or two.

I think this will happen all on it's own. Breeders with a decent collection will start using there normal females for other projects. It just makes better sense from a financial standpoint to run other co-doms and recessive morphs through your normals instead of pastels. I personally plan on making Mojaves, Black Pastels, Yellow Bellies, etc.. with my normal females. If I get any pastels, it'll be from combo projects.
This I feel will allow the up and coming breeders with a pastel male and a few normals to meet the demand for pastels, make some money, stabilize prices, and grow their collections. This is a natural progression. I think this is a good thing and Pastels will always be HOT! Nothing like a nice pastel or a Super.
