I'd like to know what white ball python is prefered out there and why?
If you could explain pro's and con's of recessive and co-dom white snakes?
Thanks in advance

I don't care much for the white snakes but my favorite would have to be Lesser Phantom Blue Eyed Lucy - I beleive it's the whitest, plus I prefer the blue eyes and you can do more in terms of offspring from them. But as I said I don't much care for them so I'm sure you can get more from those that do.

7.33.0 Ball Python (Harry and Fluffy and gang)
1.0.0 Angolan Python (Anakin Skywalker)
0.0.1 Green Tree Python (Verdi - yeah I know but my kids love the book)
0.2.0 Feline (Pippen and Pandora)
0.0.1 Desert Tortoise (Pope John Paul aka JP )
2.2.1 Fish (1,2,3,4)
0.0.2 frogs rescued from pool skimmer
That would be my pick as well. I was just wondering this morning what would happen if you bred a black ball to a white ball? The destruction of life as we know it? The undoing of space and time? Or just a grey snake?

With a name like Scrotbelly, it has to be good ;o)
Since Ralph proved that the Phantom was different than the Mojave we looked closer at the lucies and noticed that the lesser crosses were different. We really never looked at them that close because we thought the Mojave and Phantom were the same snakes from different lineages. Our hats off to you Ralphie boy. There really isn't much of an off white line down the back with the lesser platty mojave cross mostly white. We really haven't posted many pictures of the boys but here is a recent shot of one of our yearling males. Enjoy

The various 'Leucistics' don't do much for me. Im using the term Leucistic loosely because I don't think all of the various blue or black-eyed white snakes are in fact Leucistic.
The Ivory does it for me though. That yellow dorsal stripe is just too nice. But then again, judging by the Sutherlands' line of Ivories, the stripe fades with age. Booooooo.......lol
Maybe someone with a yearling or older Ivory can post a recent pic? Amir?? Doug Beard?? Mark or Kim Bell?? Ralph Davis?? Peter Kahl?? ANYONE??
Be interesting to see if any of the various Ivory lines retain their dorsal stripe into adulthood. Hmmmm. At hatching, the Bells' Ivories appear to have the most 'obvious' dorsal stripe.
Good thread!
