Het Grandmother to Amel Goini

Nokturnel Tom Oct 08, 2005 11:52 AM

I am gonna post a bunch of relatives to the Amel Goini. I hope I get this straight...but after all is said and done I will have Chip check my work and make sure they're all labeled correctly. I went to see Chip the other day and took about 100 pics.

The mate for this snake died, so Chip received her as an adult. He already had a pair of her offspring. We're guessing she is a 97. She and one of her daughters produced Amels in 04. They also produced in 05,both times from het to het breedings. Tom Stevens

Here's the other snake that produced some of the Amels. She was really impressive, a great looking animal. Tom Stevens

Look at the size of the head on this guy. He bred the 2000 het female and his mother....the grandmother of all the Amels Chip produced. Chip held back the few he produced in 04, except for one that went to me. The 05s went to a few freinds of mine, and any other offspring were possible hets so this snake[the Amel Goini] is not at all available in numbers just yet. Tom Stevens

thats what im talkin about! that fathead is definately a give away imho that it is indeed goini, appalachicola, meansi:whatevr ssp name is being used now awsome snakes but i still beleive them(goini) to simply be a pattern variant of lgg much as yumensis is to californiae.(imma lumper), and really as far as folks ragging "purity"oilwellscrewum its very obvious thats a "pure" getula and people who think crossing within getula is creating a hybrid are fools anyway imho,(not implying the goini was crossed)(but again ive stated before and still beleive ALL getula ssp amels were brought about from outbreeding amel getula into their getula ssp lines mainly lgcali, started in fla with the infamous "lemonkings"now every single ssp of getula has amel in it(and its PURE roflmao) but i also feel that this can be refined as ALL pattern variants can be and produce PHENOMINAL getula that are indeed "pure".,IF that was done its still cannot be considered a "hybrid can it?really?imho its only a "hybrid if another family is brought in such as elaphe, pituophis, etc
regardless they are great snakes and imma have to hop on that train next year maybe,,man getula are cool,,,,,,,,,,thomas

heres a snowXlav l.g.floridana that hopefully will produce me some goodies next year

Beautiful animals, which is all that really matters.
Interestingly, high band counts in the Grandmother and the male amels.

Nokturnel Tom Oct 09, 2005 11:05 AM

Yup, and that grandmother is a wild caught. She is probably about a 97 or so? She was gravid when she was found, and the rest is history. Tom Stevens
