Jungle experts take a peek.. Pics-

I got this female from Pete Kahl as a het albino. She was produced by a jungle het bred to a sunglow. After the deal was done Pete said he may have been wrong not selling her as a jungle.. (and I didn't want to alert him to looking at her to much before she was mine...LOL...) I picked her out because of her wacky pattern, She was darker when she was smaller, but has been gaining bright color with age. She has bright yellow coming in around her funky striping, and her tail color has gotten quite nice. I know what I think... If she were born in your jungle litter what would you call her?

Some of the pics are newer than others.

I think she has too much gray in her base tone to be a Jungle, they are usually much more cream from the start.

I saw your "possible" Jungle male, he does look like a jungle. If he proves out all I could say is breed him to this girl, and hope for the best!

Take care

I'm no expert, but I'll say that's as borderline as you can get. There are definitely signs that there's a chance of it being a Jungle, but not quite enough to claim it as such. Definitely an exciting project. I want a Jungle sooo bad, but I'd get an ulcer at breeding time if I had a possible Jungle. Keep us posted .

You guys don't think it's a bit funny to get an almost completly reversed striped female in a jungle litter and not call her a jungle?? If you can get jungles with great color and little to no aberrancy why not aberrancy with less color? The first pic more accuratly represents her present color.
