Standards

I'm looking for some input from Breeders...

www.leopardgeckoregistry.com/standards.html

It is not the intention for the LGR to create the only "standards" for leopard gecko morphs. We believe that it takes input from all breeders to decide on a standard. Does anyone have any suggestions for definitions in standards?

Heres a blown up picture of one of your leos marked as "jungle" This is not a jungle so you might want to change that. As the definition is a leo with broken bands all down its tail, yours have 2 unbroken.

I dont know why it is the small picture, but in both of them you can clearly see 2 and unbroken.

Hypos have less than 10 spots, super hypos have less than 5 spots.....
Not sure exactly how to "classify" the rest of them without stating the obvious (aka: blizzard is white)....

If you click on the small picture you do get a bit bigger one.And the are both 100% jungle phase.

triplemoons Oct 09, 2005 02:07 AM

You are incorrect, the listed gecko (photo from ID Gecko) is a Jungle...She does not have any complete bands...Take a closer look at the 2nd "band" you see..

There are tons of jungles out there, I think it'd be better to put a different one up there that is obvious because of the small pictures that are on your site.

The ones he has on the web-site are just fine i'd bet there would be loads of people proud to own them and be happy that they are jungle's.

Gazz Oct 09, 2005 02:38 PM

That is a jungle phase as it has a aberrant body pattern and a aberrant tail pattern = jungle phase.

I agree with Dan. This is a great idea. As to the gecko, I believe that it is a 100% jungle. I believe in Hailey's opinion that it is a jungle. She produces awesome animals. As well as Dan, I would be more than willing to supply you with photos of whatever you need that I have. Just shoot me an email.
