Can anyone shed any light on the short, mid and long term impact of major road construction?
Current road construction on 170 from Terlingua to Lajitas has the cuts really torn up. The road and shoulders are being widened and the cuts are being recut 5-30 feet back from the original locations. Heavy equipment is agressively destroying old habitat and creating conditions for future habitat.
