How many e-mails should it take?????

anyone05 Oct 09, 2005 04:42 AM

Im trying to do business with a company that produces cages at a reasonable price and in close proximity to where I live. Yet I have sent 4 e-mails with no reply. How persistent should one be in wanting to purchase a product until they give up and go else where. I know they may be busy, but this is all part of customer service, and if they cannot reply to something as simple as a price quote (for an item on there page that is not listed) it makes me wonder if I will have a problem down the line with there products.

If this was "Never-Never Land" then all it should take is one email. That said, look out the window and realize you live in the real world with the rest of us. Customer service is a thing of the past, for some reason it's just gone. I know speaking for myself, if you don't want to reply to me for whatever reason, you won't be getting my money. I'll spend more with a company (person, breeder, store, etc.) that goes out of their way to accomodate me than with a person that I have to pester and bug and feel like I'm doing all the legwork on a deal.

The old saying is "You can't judge a book by it's cover". I tend to disagree, if the cover doesn't catch your eye, why should you pick up the book in the first place?

Their not the only cage builder out there, granted it's nice that they are close to you. I totally agree on the other reply that if you have any problems with the equipment IF you buy from them that you will get squat for service.

If you think that they are hard to get ahold of now, just try and contact them with a complaint about one of the cages.

Jorge ,

I apologize for you not getting what you requested . I had sent a email back to you on Sept 26th ( a monday ) with info on what you asked for . After seeing this post i checked and i had gotten a email returned for failure to deliver. As the only person building cages , answering emails , ordeing materials , picking up materials , packaging & shipping i do sometimes get bogged down . After katrina Hit i lost a shipping material supplier which caused a huge panic in my world due to materials being gone which i had to find a new supplier which isnt the easiest thingto do. You have email in your box with what you asked for i apologize for your requests slipping through the cracks but i will offer this sometimes a phonce call can reach me faster then emails do as sortingthrough 15-20 a day can pile up rather fast . with that ill leave the rest up to you again apolpgies for your remail slipping through the cracks ill try harder to keep them plugged lol

I agree terrible customer srvice in time spills over into terrible product.
They dont care about your bussiness and act like they are doing you the favor if you buy from them.
If company doesnt return your email do YOURSELF a favor DONT buy from them ever.

please dont confuse the difference between a email being BOUNCED back to a email adress that is Hotmail based. All it takes is a server issue or a full INBOX to cause a email to bounced back undeliverable to the sender which is what happened in this situation. I have sopken to the person who made this post and have been back in contact with them. So while i do understand the frustrations involved when emailing but you have to also use other means of contact info such as PHONE NUMBERS when contacting people when its listed . So i hope you are just making a "general statement" as to your expectations in CS im sure they have been some that have slipped by and gone unanswered but beleive me 12-16 hrs a day in the shop then several hrs between paperwork ordering shipping and emailing and returning 15 emails and calls a day well it becomes VERY hard to stay on them all when a reply email from someone takes a few days. Online business is a tough one and with a one man company that puts out on average 3 cages/ racks per day over the last 9months is a rather good track record to have in this field . So i just ask that when making statements of how it should be done it isnt that easy when the shoe slide onto your foot .

Ask about my CS i would say it rates among the best in the market today

thanks and have a good evening and dont take this as bad but just as a enlightenment of my daily routines which goes 7 days a week !!

I understand what your saying . I didnt see the post you had about not getting his email, etc. I just thought the co which I guess is your co was ignoring him and from experience I know best not to bother with co that ignores you.
Though I see that wasnt the case . I used to work for a phone company so I know what bad customer service is lol.
Thats why I posted what I posted thinking he was just being ignored and told him best to look some place else for a cage.

John,I think you make a lot of sense and if more of us did that we would all probably better off for it.
