I went to the NARBC show in Chicago yesterday. I have never purchased any animals from there in all the years I have gone there. I was just wandering, and I looked down in a display and there was a beautiful female Algerian. She is perfect, all toenails, nice tail and chubby. She was quite sweet, so I named her Mandisa which means sweet. She is running around her cage this morning and ate greens out of my hand. Hopefully some day I can find a boy, but there are not many around. Enjoy her.

since she is rare, i am sure purchasing her made up for all the times you hadn't bought anything! she is cute and honestly i would have said it was a mali, except for the tail. i read more about them on douglas dix's page. hopefully you can get a male and help these guys get into the circulation

The picture didn't do her justice and having her on the red millet also didn't help. LOL She is actually a light tan with peach and yellow. She looks more plain in the picture. She is a cutie. I am finding there are males available, so am looking into getting one.

Hey, I just picked up a pair from Doug Dix at the Hillsboro, OR show a couple of weekends ago as well I know at that time he had several Adult Male Algerians, very nice looking and nice personalities...if you want an on-site report let me know as I'll see him again in Puyallup Washington in 2 weeks....I can't say enough about them. Both of mine settled in very well, eat like horses, and are exactly as Doug described them on his web site....'course I'm still partial to my Ornate pair (male from Doug and female from Audrey Vanderlinden).
