Question on Weight from a new Gecko owner

solaric Jul 20, 2003 07:15 PM

I bought my sons 3 leopard geckos as pets. Below I show the weight in grams of each gecko as they have grown the last month. I just wanted to be sure the weight gain is acceptable. All three were hatched in mid May. I have been feeding them a total of 15 live crickets a day powdered with calcium and 10 mealworms a day in a calcium dish. They sometimes do not finish all the mealworms.

Geico (Female High Yellow)
Grams
14 - June 21
18 - July 3

24 - July 18

JAG (Male Jungle)

Spot (Female Jungle)

But in case you aren't already, it would be a good idea to keep the male separate from the females until they are big/old enough to breed. (if you decide to breed)
It can be really hard on females to be bred too young and the male won't wait until she's ready

it sounds like they have a great home, keep up the good work!
