Genetics questions??

DogStar Jul 20, 2003 07:18 PM

I see all these great color morphs out there and am thinking in the futureI would like some more colorful ones. My question is if I wanted to say get a female snow dragon and I bred her to my normally looking dragon, are the babies lighter than normal or are they normal het for snow (i'm a corn snake person)and what if I bred a snow dragon to a really really red dragon? I guess I am wondering if I should plan on getting a pair or does it matter?

Thanks

Well, the snow to the normal, would get you babies somewhere inbetween the two. The Snow by Red, would give you Reduce pattern Red bearded dragons with less dark pigment. Making the babies look sort of intense at first, but as they grow older, they seem to lighten up, and not look quite as good. If you want good Reds, breed a Red to a Red. Good luck.
