I have a cool looking hypomelanistic eastern garter snake that is the product of a wild caught female from Atlantic Beach, Florida. I'm not interested in monetary value, but mostly how often this happens in wild caught individuals. These are only a few weeks old and it will be interesting to see how they change.

They were given to me by a guy who caught the female, she gave birth, he kept only 3 of the 60 and released the other 57!! From what it looks like so far, one was hypomelanistic, one hypermelanistic, and one normal.

Scott Felzer is working with a hypomelanistic Florida Blue Eastern Garter Snake. I think he bred it this year.

It was a wild caught female and was let go after she had the babies. She had 60 babies.
