does anybody out there in Virginia know of a group or organization that can help me document some snakes that we've been finding which we believe to be Scarlet Kings? i've been a member of the Va. Herp Society for almost 4 years and they have offered to help me, but i doubt they are going to. this is really frustrating. to my knowledge, no record has ever been made of finding these snakes in the area where we find them. i appreciate any help/suggestions.

Greg,

I would be interested in photographing / shooting video as proof of the location of the snakes in question, not sure it that's what you are looking for, but I would be up for documenting them. Perhaps if we get enough pics and info out there someone will take interest??

Dan.

hi, Dan! thanks for your response! that would be great if you wouldn't mind doing that. where are you located? i'm in central Virginia in Campbell County. the snakes were found in Bedford County. don't know if this would be a problem or not.

I've just recently moved to Virginia Beach, Va. and a friend at work showed me a snake that was definitely a Scarlet, it definitely wasn't a Coastal Plains Milk or an Eastern Milk.
He said he found it on a jobsite in Chesapeake? I can't find any info on L. t. elapsoides on the eastern shore of Va. Kind of wierd Huh?
