Fattest Lizard Contest

lizard_lover Oct 09, 2005 11:08 PM

This is Peanut AFTER she laid her eggs. Ever since she laid them her appetite has been on par with the beasts of Jurrasic Park.

Any one got a fatter lizard than Peanut??

i will have to see if i can get a shot of ivan tomorrow, however, she has not laid any eggs so i still think that would make peanut fatter. gertie has been crazy too since she laid eggs last week. i took her out of the cage in hopes walter could get more than one cricket before she ate them all and she dove off my shoulder and back into the cage before i had dumped the crickets. the other day she saw me coming with the bag of crickets from like 10 feet away and starting pacing the cage where i drop them in, such a hog!

The three of you have been loading your crickets with something other than calcium!

jeune18 Oct 12, 2005 01:43 AM

you know, i have three other adult lizards and they are no where near the size of ivan. she is also a year to two years older than the others but she has 7 grams on walter and like 12 grams on gertie and kaiser, but gertie did lay three clutches this year but ivan laid three last year and was still a tubby girl then. i think eve has it right, the brown girls are just chubbier

Holy smokes!

I have to agree that your lizard is more reminiscient of a small dog than a collared lizard.....oy.
