How long for eggs to hatch?

CLizKeeper Oct 10, 2005 06:43 AM

Hi all,

First, I must say thanks for such a informative and entertaining forum - with great pics.

In your experience, how long does it take Collared eggs to hatch? There appears to be conflicting information on the Web.
Some sites say 40-60 and some say 55 to 70 days.

Our female Collared, Daxter (named after the Playstation game), laid 6 eggs about 40 days ago (and has since laid another 6 last week). Only 3 of the first batch have survived. These have turned a light brown and some veining is visible.

Having seen the very cute hatchling pictures posted - we can't wait!.

TIA

PS: Eggs are in vermiculite incubator with heat pad and temp around 28 Centigrade.

About your eggs and hope you get some cuties, real soon

Well as far as C. collaris which you have, it is approx. 40 - 60 days , mine usually hatch about 54 - 55 days so around that time , you may notice the eggs sweating or denting in a bit.

Just be patient, It is a WONDERFUL EGGS-PERIECE, they are just the cutes lil hatchlings .

Your pair are very pretty, nice pic ! Keep posting!

Glad you and your scaley friends are here , keep us updated !

Thanks for the information, Eve.

www.suncharmers.com was also very helpful.

PS: TIA is Thanks In Anticipation although it DOES sound like an Italian name!

Will post more pics soon
