Moss growth question

rc_racer_007 Jul 20, 2003 08:11 PM

This my sound like a odd question, but about how long will it take tropical pillow moss to grow into "one big sheet". What I mean in other words, is how long will it take for my moss to grow so that it looks like it one big peice of moss instead of just peiced together?

It all depends on the condition of the moss when you get it...e.g., the last shipment of moss I received went straight into 2 tanks, the moss was very fresh and not dried out at all. I kept the excess moss in its container for about 2 months, dry as can be, and then set it up in a new vivarium. It has taken about another 1 1/2 to finally start looking decent.
