I just got my first reptile, and she is a leopard gecko, and her name is Lola. I got here a couple weeks ago, and she is pretty much full grown. I was wondering what would be the best set up for her. I have here in maybe a 10 gallon tank, but Im not sure, its 20 inches long, 12 in. wide, and 12 in. tall. I have a 75 watt night light bulb and am keeping the tank about 82-85 degrees. I have a heat pad under her hide, and I have a heat pad under the tank.
My first question is if this is a big enough tank for her?
Ive been told that having a bright light on her is bad, and eventually she will stop eating or something becuase of it. Is this true? And should I keep the light on during the night as well (black night light)?
Is the heat pad neccessary?
I have spahgmum moss in her hide right now, but Ive heard a tuba wear, or somethign like that would make a good hide.
I have a 20 gallon tank, and was wondering if this would be a better home for her or not.
Thanks a lot, and heres some pics of her.
