There's another one of those poor critters suffering from an infestation of bats........or is it a "plague of bats"?
BTW.......I have been studiously studying my camera manual AND I have started taking practice pictures with THE MANUAL SETTINGS instead of my usual automatic point and click disasters. It has been trial and error with the settings, but I think I might actually get the hang of it......someday. 
Maybe in a few days, after some more practice and some courage, I'll post a pic or two. At this point, I can't really say they're turning out much better than with the automatic settings. Maybe I should look into getting a better camera if I'm gonna try and learn some of this stuff. Any recommendations? I don't aspire to reach the level of you or Celia, but I would like to be able to take *nice* pics after I gain some knowledge and skill.

that I almost never use the manual mode. I'm sure I could get much better pics using manual, but I usually am in a rush to take a quick picture before the clouds move in or out. I almost always shoot in macro mode and pray that the lighting is right... works for me.
