Pastel Mojave (Pastave) Madness!!!!!!

Python Dreams Oct 10, 2005 05:20 PM

Here is a group photo of my 1.2 Pastel Mojaves (Pastaves). This will be a very exciting project and is really in it's infancy... I cannot wait to see a Super Pastel Mojave, which I hope I might be in the mix to produce one of those first...
After seeing TSK's Hypo Mojave, it will also be cool to see if their is a visible difference in a Pastel Lucistic or a Super Pastel Lucistic... Imagine what could be done with a male Super Pastel Lucistic breeder... These are definitely interesting times if you are into Ball Python....
Let me know what you think...

proving out the first pastel lucy would be difficult. Then you'd need to prove another, of the opposite sex. Then you'd have to prove the superpastel lucy, if it even existed, and your odds of getting it wouldn't be great.

Sounds like a lifes dedication lol good luck with that one.

Maybe the pastel lucy would have green eyes?

If they donot have any visible difference all you would need to do is breed it once (maybe try 3 normal females, just in case you had bad luck). If you end up with any Pastels, that would answer that question... If you end up with all Pastels and Pastel Mojaves, you would know it is a Super... Since you would be breeding him anyway, it would be kinda like a bonus...
Also, to create a Super Pastel Lucistic would only take a Pastel Mojave X Pastel Mojave (or Pastel Lesser) and a bit of luck and you would be there. I think it would be similar to a "Snow" if you think of the Pastel Mojaves as double hets... Might take some time though... But it would be nice to see something completely new to the Ball game...

I think a 'Pastel Super Mojave' might look different than a Super Mojave.

The SuperMojaves don't look pure white, and have some pigmentation on the head. Maybe the pastel gene would atleast lighten the remaining pigment on the head?? Im sure we'll see a Pastel Super Mojave produced before long.

As for a Pastel Lesser X Mojave?? Maybe it might look a bit different since the white snake produced from Lesser X Mojave is 'more white' than Mojave X Mojave?

Great lookin Motels, err Pastaves, you have there.
Thanks for sharing.
